hi to everyone,i have bought this recently, but i do not know anything about it,but i have never seen blue jewels in a pocket watch before
Blue jewels aren't particularly common, but I have seen them before. Jewels are made of corundum, and can be various colours depending on the impurities in them...
Those are the deepest blue I've ever seen in jewels. I have seen several old watches with white to bluish tinted jewels but never that blue. I even had an old British pocket watch with jewels that were slightly tinted blue, but only slightly.
Thank you Archer,i believe this watch is 1934 from the serial number,i have bought this solely for selling purposes,i have not managed to see anything close to it on ebay or anywhere else to put price on it,
So you bought this solely with the intent to resell it, and have no idea what it should sell for? Interesting business model you have there...
The watch is not in very good condition. There are incorrect screws on the movement, and no one is going to pay a big premium for blue jewels. Best of luck with the arbitrage...
this is the first longines pocket watch i have bought,i was courious about the jewels,i am not pocket watch collector,i love omega wrist watches.i dont have any other pocket watches either,i rather sell it,someone else will appreciate it
interesting, last night you were saying nice movement about this watch,i have the same post in longines section, change of heart suddenly.screws can be changed, and for your information screw looks like a philips which is not,its just a reflection of the case on it
It appears you have removed the photos, which is not considered proper after seeking our help. Perhaps the mods can reinstate the photos...
