IMO, it's gold value plus $100 or so for the movement. I don't think these are considered collectible watches at the moment.

But it could change.

Judging by the ubiquitous threads popping up on OF, apparently there are a lot of unfashionable watches being scrapped at the moment.

This one is 14k and probably deserves to be melted down, TBH. What's the point of a gold Bulova? Maybe we should start a thread for the watches we are scrapping.

Honestly, Bulova made some BEAUTIFUL movements. I realize their name is kinda mud these days, but I've been thrilled to work on the Bulovas that I've touched.

This one has a one-piece case and I've never looked at the movement, TBH. 30 jewels does sound like a lot. 😁

See if you can track it down at https://mybulova.com/ ! There are quite a few 30 jewel movements IIRC (10BZAC is one of them!). I worked on 2 Bulovas so far, 1 was effectively "seiko" quality, one was a 10AC familythat was about ETA quality/manufacturing/etc. WHICH this is, I don't know, but honestly, Bulova is a bit slept on! They have pretty solid movements in nicely made watches/cases. PLUS, mybulova.com is really well put together, a fantastic group of folks keep it updated with basically every model ever discovered.

Totally agree !!
When I saw your post that was my same reaction, it’s a pretty cool example of an iconic design, the dial and case look really great and I bet the movement is good quality.
Also, gold looks like a great investment to hold on to for a while, unfortunately there’s no end in sight to world instability, so you might as well wear it!
