So, if I'm nitpicking the lugs are a little over polished, there is some light spotting on the dial, and the crown is totally wrong. But I'll be damned if that railroad track dial isn't one of the best I've ever seen. It's totally gorgeous, and I'm smitten.

 

I'll take that Zenith 3 eye off your hands when you're ready to let go.

Well one of my grails in 18k ((ad says))...FINALLY up for sale after yrs ok searching...but with a dial that’s more of a turn off...Patina just not attractive to my eyes (yes, IMHO, others may love it) and could not find a spot in my heart much as tried


But what do you think ???

My own .... patina to my eye is even except at Center mass. Love this even patina



But proper comparison should be to a very good 18k example,,, This 18k grail

The case is overpolished and I agree that the patina is subpar. Unless it is the deal of the century, I would pass.

 

Same for me. 18K power reserve is one of my grails as well. But this example is not triggering anything. I think it's the overall condition but especially the case which is already polished down so heavily is what really puts me off here.
I also have some doubts that box and paperwork that are shown in the ad originally belong to that watch. Normally these came with the earlier ref 900x Conquests. Conquest 902x packages were slightly different imho.
