I believe you are paying for a premium a very high .... that was a watch to be bought 15 years ago and now you would be the seller.
the watch is beautiful so depends on what you want to spend

Precisely. And it's ludicrous that the crown is so obviously incorrect.

I've come across this seller's website and wondered to what extent he restores the watches. For example this Omega 265 looks in great condition but is it original? The Omega text looks a bit off centre to me compared with the applied Omega Symbol

35 mm tre tacche are not cheap , the price is not outrageous compare to what people were asking 2 years ago. Asking price is not always selling price

That seller has some nice watches, and some watches that have been tampered with, but the prices are all sky-high. I have never tried to deal with him, so I don't know whether he is at all amenable to reasonable offers.

Does anyone know any dealers on Instagram with websites whose prices are not "sky high"?
This price may well be ludicrous but for better or for worse, it is what those often cost for a nice example sold by a dealer.
Until people get fed up with those of course - humans like change and fashions are fickle.

PS - Some small tre tacches have big crowns that look like this, @LarryG had one for example.
So could there have been similar ones on large tre tacches?

PPS a tre tacche is not a "calatrava"!! It's a friggin' dive watch -- more like a "ploprof".

A friend bought a polished polerouter from this particular dealer for 2.9 euros iirc

My friend wasn't educated and assumed dealers would be reputable.....

I was about to say that Ive seen large crowns of similar style on other stepped case tre t-s. I wouldnt rule our possibility that crown is original.

In my experience, the larger crowns seem ironically, to have been found on smaller models. I have also seen a number of old catalogues, and have yet to find a similar (relative) size crown on the larger models.

Has anyone dealt with this seller before? I've heard mixed things... some people seem to not like him (prices aside, just in how he interacts with clients). But this is second hand info and I have not worked with him directly. Would be curious to hear someone's opinion.

I’ve interacted with him and he was perfectly nice. Polite responsive and pleasant. Price was negotiable.

It's a Longines! What more do you want to know? If the case was made in the USA, there will not be a Longines reference number associated with it. If others are interested, more info on this watch can be found here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/looking-for-reference.89407/

    I like it. Dibs!
PS - Now seeing your earlier post, you have received as much info from a Longines expert as this watch could yield. Curious what size it it....
