Just handled this SS 12.68; forgot to get a pic of the movement, but I'd love to hear what those who know think of this one, as far as authenticity:

The 18k gold one is available from the seller, too, at $2250, the SS at $1800.

Lugs are fixed, and I think 20mm; case around 36mm.

I just remembered that I do indeed have a cal12.68 already, but not as old as this one. I think this one is estimated to be from 1943, but I don't have the movement #...

Are they 35mm? I like the dial although it's a bit weathered and it looks fine to me, but I'd worry the hands seem too long... (compare with the gold example).

Wait until others chime in though.
    Cheers,

PS - you didn't ask for this but I find it overpriced for its condition and overall looks, even at 35mm. For a similar price there were much nicer ones on Ebay over the past 6 months.

That doesn't mean there will be more, at the same price, but if I were you I would not pull the trigger.

Thanks, was thinking the same thing, but nice to hear. The aged look of this one had me getting the movement confused with the older, more rare and valuable Longines movements.

Here's my 12.68 that I somehow disconnected with its 'similarity' (although slightly newer at 1954) compared to the one above. 7d53df59e1ac43a5a341a279e1a7e5c8.jpg

    I much prefer mine!

Coincidence, I just picked up a mid 50's 12.68 ZS yesterday in a group buy! Here's a movement shot for reference. And very attractive is it too
