Finally got around to an old box of watches my elderly father gave to me a few years back. I obviously have very little knowledge of vintage Longines watches. Did a little research but still not sure what I have. Would like to provide an accurate description so I can pass it on to an owner who appreciates it.

Forgot about that old post. Looks like the "planet" automatic that @Vitezi pointed out, assuming is 14K solid. So many of these "mystery" dial pieces were gold-filled, but usually marked with "G.F." on the caseback, so assuming this is solid, but can't tell from picture. I would hazard that the stretchy band came with the watch though, as many American models from the 1950's did.
