I am selling this original Longines 8226 ref 3 diver with Singer, Newman style dial. The reason for the sale is that at 43mm, it is too big for my wrist. I am more suited to 38-40mm watches. The movement is a Longines calibre 330, based on the Valjoux 72. As you can see from the pictures it is a work of art. The watch dates to May 1969 and was serviced this year, paperwork included. Everything on the watch is original....case, dial, hands, signed crown and pushers. Also included is the original Gay Freres bracelet, stamped Longines, and end links. The majority of these I have seen are sold minus the bracelet. Also included is a 22-18mm Italian made calf strap, as seen in some pictures. As you can see the watch is in superb condition, many of these have dings and knocks as they aren't that small, but the case on this is superb. The sunburst grain can clearly still be seen, and to me looks unpolished and is perfectly sharp around the edges. The dial and hands retain the original lume, with no marks or damage.
