Hi All,
Selling this totally original Longines 8226 -3 Divers chronograph.

This model has the legendary Valjoux 72 inside (think early Rolex Daytona). The watch dates from 5-69 and had never been serviced up until a few weeks ago when I gave it a full overhaul. It looks to have had a pretty easy life.

Absolutely everything is original on this watch, nothing at all has been changed. Crown, pushers, crystal (scratched), dial, hands and case finish.

The case has never been refinished, the sunburst effect is still very distinct.

The V72 is absolutely pristine, I was very careful with each screw and parts so as not to mark it. Brass tweezers were used exclusively along with synthetic lubricants. Runs strong with great positional accuracy and amplitude. The pushers operate very smoothly and have a totally different feel to a 321 or 861.

Of particular note is the perfect dial and hands. No relume jobs here or repainted hands. Everything just as it left the factory with a few decades of light and attractive patina.

Included also is the original bracelet made by Gay Freres. It is date stamped 1/72 and condition is similar to the watch case, maybe even better. Very few signs of wear and it is still tight. The divers extension works correctly. The end links are a pretty loose fit to the case though and possibly why it had been removed. I suppose I could bend them to fit better but I'd rather not.

The leather strap in the pics is included, its a hand made calf leather from Italy with a great taper from 22mm down to 18mm at the buckle.

Price is $3750USD Plus 4% paypal. Including express delivery.
