Hi, I've been reading along here for a while and enjoying all the nice watches and discussions. I noticed a Longines 6B/159 for sale in a local classifieds ad, however I'm not sure if it's original. I can't seem to find any other watches in this configuration, mostly the logo on the dail and the minute hand. Second hand is missing but a replacement is included. Any thoughts? Thanks for your help! Regards, Ward

The dial is incorrect and should not have logo, crown is wrong (but reproductions exist) but mostly the case looks to have been rechromed which would make it a deal breaker for a collectors item. So its value is not more than the sum of its parts.

More critically: what does the case back look like? We need to see military markings, and we need to see the inside : movement and markings.

The experts on these watches are on MWR (Military Watch Ressource Forum).

PS indeed the minute hand is wrong.

In short: too many issues, you should leave it alone.
