    Hi All,

I recently sold this Longines 30CH. Before I bought it I did some research about the dial and concluded that it was original. The buyer has some doubts so let's have a debate.

    My watch:

The research where I based my opinion on:

The amount of dials exactly like the one pictured leads me to believe that they are service replacements that were made in quantity. It's the best way to explain how so many in that same configuration exist in such incredible shape without being enamel, especially when you consider that the finish on other Longines watches of that era had such poor longevity.

A reasonable hypothesis. An alternative would be that these dials were originally outsourced to a different manufacturer, and that better finishing lacquers were employed.

    Yes, that's another viable possibility.

    Hello everyone,

First of all, thank you ulackfocus and Tony C. for your inputs.

I'm the guy that bought the watch and that - like stated by TTD - has some doubts about the originality of the dial.

Here are two other pics from the actual watch/dial for your consideration:

    Looks nice.

Is it perhaps that doubters came forth due to @TTB 's pic (which you also use in your Chronotrader ad)? Because in those the dial looks rather stark white-ish, whereas in your own pics the hue looks so much more natural and ok.
