Hi all, here´s my new Tre Tacche. Unfortunately it´s too small for me - 30,5 mm. Here are some pics - I think it´s a nice watch, but not wearable. Most of the scratches are on the glass, the dial is relatively clean. I put a red arrow on one pic, where a larger dial imperfection can be seen. Curious, if there are any flaws? rgds - h.u.
Nice. I'd wear it, but I'm a galoot with no fashion sense about the necessity of being seen with large watches. Put that watch on period pigskin, stitched leather, or faded military issue style khaki canvas and be happy.
Hi and thank you...I did not buy it but get it as I had a multiple watch swapping. I thought it´s a beautiful earlier Longines but if something is not as it should be, someone here will detect the flaw.
No - I´m 99% sure. The watch has been for 15 (or more) years in possession of a friend. Nobody spoke of "tre tacche" then and one could buy such a small watch for less than 100 deutschmark. But (as I has asked for opinions) I just took 3 sunlight pics without case:
Hi H.U., While the signature looks good, I would say that there are, minimally, questions about the lume. The hour hand has, in my view, most certainly been re-lumed. The color of the lume on the numerals is also rather odd, though I suppose that it could be original. Regards, Tony C.
Thanks Tony - one more time. Regarding the color of the lume under magnification, it seems if hour hand and dial are showing the same structure and color (of the lume); the minute hand looks different. I really would like to know, what happened to that watch in it´s earlier life... I took some more pics to make it able to compare the lume. I hope the chronograph is correct concerning the lume of the numerals. I believe there are 5-6 years between the different dials.
Yes, H.U., I agree, even without the benefit of magnification, that the color and structure of the hour hand and numerals is consistent, and frankly, I am suspicious of both. Note also what appears to be a rather sloppy application of lume on the seven numeral. Hard to imagine that it left the factory in that form. The lume in the minute hand appears much more typical and "correct" for a Longines of that age. It could have been an old re-lume, though why the minutia hand was left alone is a mystery.
