Back to the stable reduction- this one hurts a bit. Early 60’s Stainless Longines 1200, this is the Admiral before they started labeling “Admiral” on the dial. Stainless case is sharp with incredibly clean, slim lines. It measures 33.5X40X8.75, lugs are 18mm. This is one of the slimmest watches I have ever worn, but it’s all dial so appears larger than the 33.5mm would suggest. This is the applied indices full Arabic numeral dial with sub-second, not a common variant of the 1200. Dial shows a bit of patina but is incredibly even and has a rich warm sunburst tone. Lume on hands and dial are original and still bright in color. Crystal shows some light scratches but could be buffed out. Case and lugs show minor scrapes, scratches and scuffs- this was used but never abused. I don’t polish or dress watches up for sale so it is as I got it. The watch has not been serviced while I have owned it but winding/setting is like silk and it keeps amazingly good time with great power reserve. This is Longines at their best. Watch is being sold head only (strap is custom made- sorry), but I can throw it on an inexpensive strap if you wish to wear it out of the box. Price is $350 shipped within conus- out of the US we can discuss options. Payment via PayPal F&F or add 4% for regular PayPal and I can send a request. No returns unless grossly misrepresented. I buy far more than I sell but I have sold a few here and traded many, so have some feedback in the members section and I can provide references. Thanks OF for the space, any questions feel free to ask
This is silly cheap! For all the newbies who keep asking the forum for advice on awful eBay watches, you will be hard pressed to find a nicer watch from a reputable brand at anywhere near this price point. Buy this one and thank @JwRosenthal later.
I‘ve just received a parcel from @JwRosenthal here in the EU. Wasn’t an issue, I‘d say don’t let the distance put you off next time.
Custom fees is an issue here! Adds 40% and extra costs for handling and delay @buyer: wear it in good health! Happy it stayed in the OF family
