What a beautiful dial! I agree with the above post.

I would go on to say this orange is too close to the dial and you should add some contrast.

You could consider a calf skin in blue that will both highlight the hands and also compliment the orange as these are complimentary colours to one another (google complimentary colours).

This strap I’m not sure if blue but the texture is nice and in a blue (or indeed the colour it is) would look nice. Perhaps the blue of the background? I’ve never tried this combination so if you do something like this it will be very interesting to see! :)

Another example of that beautiful dial. On a 35mm tre tacche. @jef33 did you have lugs affixed to the case which housed the movement initially?

no, my watchmaker will weld the handles and keep the original case, the one you found (well done) has the right box and probably a number, thanks to you I know that this model existed

if you could ask him for the reference? I am not on social networks

That tre tacche will not tell you at all that your dial should have been on a similar watch.
The reference of the watch is the reference of the case. It does not mean the dial belongs to that case.

Those dials may have been used on several types of watches, and there may have been other dials like yours on « mystery watches » which some people might have used to restore other watches.

    What a conundrum.

I once had a longines pocketwatch changed into a wristwatch. I wore for a bit before the lug broke.
