As the juniormost female intern rookie on the Omega forum , may I humbly ask why does everyone think the Railmaster will be celebrating its 60th Anniversary in 2017 ?

The 1st civilian Railmaster model CK 2777 Cal 283 with the ultra rare Swan Neck Regulator & white dial clearly imprinted with the word "Railmaster " was produced for the Canadian Railway on Oct 24th 1955 . @Bill Sohne has the white dial[IMG]Similarly @gemini4 had an outstanding discovery recently with the "Find of the Year " , a black dial signed Railmaster CK2777-2[IMG]Omega has confirmed that although the Railmaster wasnt introduced until 1957 , both the white & black dials were manufactured on the last week of Oct 1955 and both examples were sold to the Canadian market in January 1956

So this means the 60th Anniversary of the Railmaster was 2 years ago[emoji136]

    Ahem...ahem...cough..cough...[emoji14]

A ´the three masters' reintroduction as a collecter's set: Speedmaster, Railmaster, Seamaster.

I'm with you on where the anniversary falls being... questionable MF... but from the amount of boutique staff with lose lips, it sounds very much like a Railmaster re-re-issue will be coming in 2017... although goodness knows whether it will be tied to any date/anniversary.

I'd suspect that if one was coming to market then @Superdoc would be one of the first to get his mitts on it. ;)

I would love for this to be true...it seems though a big change in direction compared to Basel 2016. If this "miracle" were to happen, this might mean Raynald is keeping his bases covered, pandering to the WIS crowd and at the same time reaching out to a new demographic with stuff similar in sytle to the new PO Deep Black

It looks like they're skirting a line between innovation, and heritage...

And it would round the heritage side of the line out quite nicely.

I'd bet on there being even more ceramics in 2017.

I don't know what source @ulackfocus has for his Railmaster claim...but yesterday I had very strong confirmation from someone within the Swatch group that Omega is going to be doing something significant with the Aquaterra range for 2017. No explicit confirmation on the Railmaster...but my source was willing to offer 100% confirmation on an upcoming AT change...so I have started to dream a little:)
