So I posted way back in spring inquiring about my ultra grimy, drawer found Speedmaster that didn't really run... https://omegaforums.net/threads/odd-speedmaster-help-105-012-66-with-145-012-sp-stamp.55769/

It's about damn time I show you all some pictures of how it turned out!

I did a lot of research and found a great watchmaker within a few hours of where I live. He serviced the movement (main spring needed replaced), replaced the crystal (which I've already managed to scratch), and replaced the crown and stem (the old stem was slightly rusted and he didn't feel safe putting it back in). Thankfully he managed to save the pushers. The case was left untouched.

The extract was another story... After a hundred and some odd days the OB called me saying that it couldn't be processed, old papers get lost, yada yada yada.

A super late run 105 that got the SP pushers, flat hands and a new stamp in the case, or a really early 145 with a beautiful B2 dial?... I honestly don't care anymore, and the last few digits of the serial are too close to call. It's on my wrist, that's all that matters. I'm the second owner (still in the family) and can account for it's whereabouts for the past 40 years, so it's pretty doubtful the dial ever got changed during a service.

Guess it'll remain a happy mystery...

    Amazing watch!

    Is the dial slightly tropical?

Lovely watch @OddSpeedy and such a lovely colour on the dial. Looks great on that leather strap. I feel the same way about how my Dad's watch ended up with a later crown and hands. Like you, I've known the watch for decades, so I don't worry.

You have a beautiful watch. 105... 145??? Who cares! It's a vintage Omega Speedmaster Professional and it's yours!

Nope, actually in sunlight it's a very pleasing pale gray.

Amazing - From the initial pictures, it's pretty incredible that this watched turned out this good. It's probably one of the nicest 105s/145s (?) that i've seen in a while. I agree with your mindset - wear it and enjoy it!

Cleaned up nice ... is that a scratch or a crack in the crystal?

Honestly I'm not sure if it's a deep scratch or a crack. The only hit I remember it taking was a screen door on a too tight spring hinge, and I don't remember seeing it right away. No signs of it growing, and definitely no fogging of the plastic. I've been considering what to do with it and I'm leaning towards leaving it go for now bc I feel like any time outside its little bubble is just a chance for some of that old lume to flake away. But then again they're cheap and I trust my watchmaker. What would you guys do?

So I got curious as to what variant of glass was on it before service... it was the original type A1 glass, and she didn't age well . That stem though... timebomb.
