    Just got home from a quick yet productive road trip. I couldn't be more pleased. Other then the missing base 1000, it's all there.

    Here's a quick and dirty shot of the elusive 2998/1, carrying a 17.7 million serial and gorgeous lollipop seconds hand.

    Let's see some others!

    Sorry but there is not only the bezel which is not correct for a 2998-1, the dial too.

    This is the correct dial for a 2998-1 and 2998-2. The OP is from 2998-3 thru 105.002-62.

    The middle stroke of the E on "OMEGA" has even length which usually seen from 2998/3

    Thank you all...I'm still looking into the watch and deciding how to proceed. I do know believe it is fact a /3, with an incorrect caseback.
