Yep, I'm amazed at the speed those boats are hitting.

Yes ... I'm actually on shore at Crissy Field in San Francisco. Beautiful warm day, mid 80s. Exciting race starts and Kiwis won both races today. So Kiwis ahead by 4 races counting the 2 race deductions against USA. I was wondering if Dean Barker, Kiwi Captain, was wearing his Omega SM ETNZ presented to him in July.

Lucky you jinson. I just watched our TV coverage and analysis of the races and our experts are saying that Spithill got the better of Barker in quite a few aspects of the race, especially when he nearly stalled and lost the lead. It really is a shame about the 2 race deduction though. Oracle don't have much time to find that extra few knots of speed they need to get in the game but anything can and usually does happen in racing.

It's a shame we got caught cheating a bit, we aren't fond of equal footing here in the States. I love to bet the underdog, any of you Kiwi's willing to give some odds, with your advantage and all? According to my Seamaster, we have you right where we want you!
    What great fun!

Hats off to Tokyo on winning the Games, good luck to Rio in hosting the Games and hearts out to the Syrians and others, we pray for you all.

Cleared a yacht this morning at work and was the first thing they asked about. A few Australian crew on each yacht i hear.

Yes the crews are all a mix of nationalities. The boats are the Formula 1 of sailing at the moment. They must be awesome to ride on

The boats are incredible works of engineering. While watching on shore I streamed the broadcast to catch the commentary and see the incredible shots of the crew. Even while on shore you can hear the "moans" of the boats under the pressure of the winds and waves. A great venue for boat racing! As been said, anything can happen so let's see what today brings. The general feeling is the Kiwis have a faster boat and are more adept at tacking/jibing.

I can't believe this is still going, surely the kiwis have to win still, but team USA has been sailing flawlessly since being on the verge of defeat

Shame Ellison won - but there's only one American on the team apparently!

True, it was skippered by an Australian, but just wow, 8 to 1 down and they came back and won it... That's simply amazing

There are actually two, Rome Kirby and John Kostechi...but honestly I think there were more New Zealanders on the
Oracle than on the Emirates team!;)

And don't forget who built their boat for them too. That was awesome. Once they got their computer setup that does all the adjustments sorted there was no stopping them. In racing, money talks and normal people walk :p Well done Team USA
