I have run into those haute couture UG ladies models in the white colour, which are 18-karat gold. Distinctly European, I think. Can you tell us more? It is indeed a really sharp design.

Do you think they are 18k white gold? Not sure ?

Only one way to know, I suspect. Open it (or have it opened), and look for a stamp inside the case.

The ref on this one follows the mid 60's onward nomenclature, it starts with 8 so it's ss, if white gold should start with 3

Nice catch, I have the same 'baignoire' model. In steel indeed...

    Indeed, stainless steel ...
do you guys think the brights/silver spots on the dial are intended or patina?

Might that be a faux lapis lazuli dial? The colour is right, and the highlights you mention are commonly found in lapis. Or what suppose-could it be an actual lapis dial a la the mother of pearl dials we see on watches these days. I’m unable to tell by your pictures.

I think Canuck is right, don't think it's patina, I think the dial came that way, either real or faux lapis. Although if faux, wouldn't all the dials look the same? So I'm thinking real lapis?

Is that a lapis dial? I have this (with original leather strap and buckle, too). The number indices are made of mother of pearl, which is extremely nice to look at but very hard to photographed.

Not a UG. But this is what my spouse will wear this evening, when she attends a banquet with the “girls”. This is an early 1960s, 14-karat white gold, marquise shaped Omega Sapphette. The crystal is a beautifully faceted synthetic sapphire. The movement is manually wound caliber 480. This watch was bought from a dealer at an NAWCC mart, for old gold price. He was glad to move it. It shows no sign whatever of ever having been worn. One of an every growing watch collection I have acquired for her.
