My uncle received this watch as a gift in the early 1990s. He wore it daily until he damaged it and it stopped working. The clock cannot be "set up", although it does work for few seconds when you hold it.
From what he told me, it's Omega SPEED MASTER 145.022 ST 68 cal 861
So any help is welcomed. Is it real/fake, how old it is and how much could it possibly be worth in this condition.

A new crystal, some fixing and you have a highly desirable watch on your hands.

    Not your average 'uncle watch'.

How much do you think its worth in this condition? How much would it be worth after its fixed and how much would repair costs be?

My uncle has an offer for 1,300 euros (~$1,400); is that a fair offer for this watch in this condition?

I know its difficult to say from these pictures, how how much would a repair cost be to get it in a good (or at least running condition)? From what I was told the clock cannot be "set up", although it does work for few seconds when you hold it.

Repair costs... difficult (if not impossible) to tell.

Where are you located? Watch deserves a good maintenance and will look the part afterwards.

I'm in Wisconsin, USA, but my uncle is in Serbia. He asked me to do some research on a watch. I doubt that there are experts for Omega watches in the 3rd world country like Serbia.

Have him send it to you. Either in order to have it bequeathed to you :))) or to have it fixed for him.

Selling it in this condition is also a possibility. Like I said, it's a desirable watch and the damages make it look worse than it is. The dial, hands and bezel look rather nice.

    Good luck with it!

i'm sure someone in europe will be able to recommend a good watchmaker. STS in London is often recommended. or @stefan in the UK.

Ferrie Schweitzer in the Netherlands is highly recommended and is specialized in vintage Omega.

This is a very nice watch just needs to be cleaned up... 1,300 euros is definitely way to low
