Tried to throw some pics up on OF last night regarding a 1952 Omega 2639-12, cal 266. Rightfully so, members pointed out the clarity of the pics in the listing. They were poor. This morning gatorcpa pointed out that there were better pics in the description. So I saved those photos and added them below. I also enlarged a couple. If these photos are of better quality, any opinions on a possible redial of this piece? Looks to good to be true. Also some mentioned the price was high. Right again! The seller and I have gone back and forth a bit and I got him down quite a bit. Yet I haven’t “accepted”. Want to be fairly sure this dial hasn’t been repainted. Gatorcpa suggested that the dial was cleaned and relacquered. Little help. And thank you all! Again! Thank you all who responded last night!

P.S. Very sorry if these photos are not an improvement.

I would say it is a redial and hands are mismatched in color to dial logo.

I'm with @hoipolloi, to me the dial doesn’t look correct.

I would say its original but if its not original its an amazing redial which I would also enjoy.

Yes, nowadays redialers have new techniques to make you happy with their redials.

But it is still quite hard to make original groves like this.

Thank you guys/gals!! I have decided to pass. If anyone else would like to take a peek, I’ve added the link on my previous thread regarding this piece. It was two days ago under “Little help...”

Please look at these two photos.
The first one is from ebay, the one you intended to buy and I said it is a redial.

You can see the tick markers are not evenly distributed, some are too close to the rim and some are too far (5_6_7_8). The groves are not defined .

And this is the one that Bu ba tried to test me.

Now, I hope you can see the difference

    Regards.

Aaahhhhhhhh! Jeez, you guys are impressive! Still learning. I purchased a 1959 Seamaster 14389, cal 268. I think the crown is wrong. When I get it, I’ll photo it and get some opinions. Hopefully good.
