Only 199 to go!. This Omega (obviously), 36mm, 1952 (13 million), ref. 2639-12, cal 266, DIAL looks too good to be true. Photos below, yet it’s the best I got from the listing. Opinion... repainted, redial, etc., right?? Looks to clean. What would an amateur look out for as far as redials? (Considering the photos are clear). Be advised the seller is a watchmaker from Eastern Europe, also sells convos, and said he personally serviced this Omega. He says this piece is from his personal collection and using profits to fund development of his own in-house movement. The price is possibly a bit high ($1200, but will accept offers). Not too out of whack. Skip it? Purchase and pray?

P.S. I’ve sent the seller a question regarding the dial

Pictures suffer from excessive jpg compression, but the dial looks legit to me. I followed a swedish auction a week ago, it went for 65% of the price.

Can’t tell from those photos and price includes the sellers lame story.

Run away don’t make eye contact.

Standy and Felsby, thank you! You are both correct! Seller responded and swears it’s all original and it was/is a lame story. Also he prefers to not use PayPal, due to the 21 day hold from eBay. NEWBIE SELLER=I’M OUT. Thank for the info!

I wish the photos were higher resolution, but it actually looks pretty decent to me. The price is a bit high, and I would insist on PayPal.

I know. I know. The photos are pretty bad. I left the listing link, if that helps. Probably not. I might make a much lower offer. I emailed the seller and said I’m only paying through PayPal. Thanks for the help.

There are better quality images in the description.

Hard to tell on this dial. At the very least, the radium looks to have been redone. Seems a bit heavy to me. It is possible that the dial was cleaned and relacquered.

I have concerns when a professional seller misuses “Tresor” when describing the watch. I though all Tresors were 18K gold.

Even if all original, this is not a $1,300 watch. Not sure if it is worth half that number.

Thanks gatorcpa. You are right! I should’ve copied the description photos. It was late and wasn’t thinking. I offered a fraction of asking. We will see. Thanks for everything everyone. Great first experience on OF.
