Little Eterna talk

Hey everyone,

I’ve been collecting for 7 years now and have owned all types of watches and brands from the big names to the lesser known ones.

For about a year now, though, I’ve been completely obsessed with the brand Eterna.

I’ve spent a lot of time scanning the internet and social media for references, different models, and the brand’s history. I’ve come across various collectors who own certain Eterna pieces.

Even after all that, I still feel like this brand lives in the shadows. Compared to other brands of similar build quality, very little seems to be known about Eterna or the designers behind some of its pieces.

I was wondering what do other collectors on this forum think of Eterna? What’s your favorite model? And would you be open to sharing a picture?

I don't blame you for your obsession, Eterna made amazing watches, and they are a great value. Here are some current and past Eterna watches from my collection. It's hard to pick a favorite because I like them all so much in different ways. And I regret selling the ones that I let go.

I've owned several over the years, though I only have two in my possession now: a 1947 circa bumper and a KonTiki 20. They are very well made watches and the company has an excellent history. I would say the quality of my bumper is every bit of that as my Connie, in fact, I'd keep it over my Connie if I had to choose between the two. It is honestly, one of the best wrist watches I have ever owned. My Kontiki is a beater, but it serves that role well and keeps good time. The quickset feature on it no longer works, which happens with a lot of these, but other than that it just chugs along.

Long been one of my favorite, under-the-radar brands. Far too many to post, but here are a couple of uncommon examples...

You never know. It came to me through dibs several years ago from @Tony C. It is, however, one of my favorite watches so I probably went be getting rid of it anytime soon.

Hopefully Tony doesn't mind me sharing this, this is one of the photos he sent me of it back in 2020. I think it's much better than the photo I shared.
