I'm NOT an expert but I'd say since it's just a Quartz and the condition of the movement isn't shown there's no way of telling for sure. Also the crystal, or is it the dial, seems to have issues. In my experience when a Quartz movement says goodbye it's also goodnight so I wouldn't go for a quartz at all. To me, 100$ maybe, if I'm feeling lucky and have money to burn. But hey, this could of course turn out to be the super collectible Quartz, what do I know. I any case, don't make an offer until someone more knowledgeable here has had his say.

I did, because I'm curious, and it seems I was about 60$ off more or less. But hose were gold plated and didn't have bracelets but straps.

Marks on dial, possible water damage 6 - 7. 1337 movement is from mid to late 1970s. These are not "collectors' items", some parts are available but not all. Without clear evidence of servicing I would not go above £100.

Ironically some of our senior members here probably have watches worth thousands that they bought in the range you quoted. It’s very tough to get into this hobby now for your budget.

There are nice 60s/70s collectible Seikos, both manual & automatic in that price range and other makes; Roamer, Hamilton, Eterna, Marvin …..

I bought all of these below (apart from the Roamer) within the last couple of years and all well within your budget

A nice Geneve or a decent Seamaster. But what exactly are you looking for? Something that you like or are you looking for something with collector value?

I like the 165.023 cosmic cases but they seem out of budget. something say 35mm-39mm, not with very protruding lugs, more sporty than dressy. If it has collector value thats a plus, if not oh well. Also in the uk are they other good sites to browse these online besides ebay?
