    Hi all,

I acquired this Omega some time ago but was never brave enough to open it to find what movement lay inside. I've also tried checking the archives but to no success.

Is there an expert out there who can speculate on what year or even reference this is?

    Thanks in advance,
    Connor

I believe these are called seamaster pre deville so 1960's. Could be 14725 as said before or 14745. Or ? Best bet is to get that watch opened up to read the reference and movement caliber. Beautiful dial, hope an expert can chime in more!

The S shape in Seamaster is typical of 1959-1962. Nice and uncommon dial variant.

This would be a front loader, so opening it yourself would likely not go well. Given how long you’ve had it, a service is likely due anyway, and your watchmaker can take pics for you. Nice looking piece!
