I don't really know the market rate for these but a mate has an all original NOS set with box and papers and I thought it was the most beautiful Longines I had ever seen, I really hope I find a good one at a reasonable price one day.

A vintage one with box and papers? those are 1920-early 1930 watches.
Are you sure it wasn't the Heritage version ? (which does look quite beautiful).

The pictures are readily available through the link in the original post, and the watch does appear original.

The pics we are referring to are from a NOS one (and not the Ebay one :))

One from 1937 recently sold for 45k at Phillips HK auction. A NOS with box and papers, well, I'd certainly like to see one....

The ebay example was missing the outer caseback, had an iffy dial and worn onion crown.
Still, it'll make for a nice wearer.

These are big and beautiful watches.

    Ah, I see. Thanks.

These have beautiful, high-class movements, and they were only used in the Lindbergh, the exclusive and very low production SWISSAIR Pilot's watches, and a small number of pocket watches. Not at all easy to find in any iteration.

I'll see what I can do next time I see him but he's pretty private with his own personal collection, he also had a Longines Czech Airforce in mint condition and an epic original unpolished square case Omega TDMP in 18K that I posted pics of in an old thread.

Also the Weems Second Setting. Cal 18.69N and, like the ebay example, Cal 37.9

Yes, what I should have said, more specifically, is that the final iteration, the cal. 37.9S (replacing the 37.9N), was used in only one Weems reference, the SWISSAIR special run, and a few pocket watches.
