Limited turning of crown on 1952 Auto Cal 351 Ref 2446?

First post. Forgive any missed protocols and my ignorance.
Bought this bumper last year from a professional seller in Poland on Chrono 24.
I love the look of the watch which has orig' patina dial and hands.
Its works wonderfully well and keeps vg daily time with a slow increase of less than a minute in 48 hours.
However, the crown only wants to turn 1 1/2 -2 half turns. Seems like its fully wound after those few half turns.
I read that its best to do a manual wind before placing on the wrist to fire up the system so as to speak.(?)
Q:
Is this a 'characteristic' of the bumper?
If not, is it important to have it assessed by a trained Omega tech ?
The crown seems original and is annoyingly small.
Ideas? Thoughts?

Agree with @Dan S . My just serviced 1952 bumper will wind forever, a design to prevent overwinding by the auto winding of the watch. The mainspring is not directly anchored, thus allowing continuous winding (summarized by my watch maker). Sounds like a good service is in order.

Could have an incorrect mainspring or maybe a modded one. Broke and watchmaker maybe jury-rigged

if not serviced. Can have that done or just have the mainspring checked

I timed mine to less than 10 seconds a day

Right.
Got it, thanks you all for the replies.
I had looked extensively online but didnt find answers.
Maybe used the wrong terminology.
Felt it was not correct and am glad I came on here to ask.
Off to Omega specialist right away.
