Looks nice, very similar bezel colour as my '64, though mines slightly more of a 'petrol' blue.

Would be more impressive if the bezel was correct?

eBay one is blued/lighter on the inside of the bezel.

Personally I question this. Ghost or blued should be lighter on the outside of the bezel. IMHO the lightening effects are due to wear and the outer part of the bezel sees more wear from friction on shirt sleeves. How does the part of the bezel protected by the crystal height see more wear? Yes I know the blue is caused by other issues, but blue bezels are almost always associated with some ghosting.

IMG_20170117_1916496.jpg More grey than blue (sorry for the crappie pic). This one caused by putting the bezel in the ultrasonic face down (so says the previous owner)

Don't have a strong fluorescent shot that shows the blue, but in the right light it really pops. These watches are true chameleons.

My slightly beaten up bluey on my father's old '64. Whilst he can't be 100% sure of the exact dates, he did recall it slowly turning a more bluey/grey colour fairly early on its life (he had it from new in 1966 - must have hung around a bit at Brufords in Eastbourne, the Omega agents, as my extract gives a production date of March 4th 1965 on a 22.08m serial). Certainly he remembers speaking to Omega about it fairly early on, and they were fairly disinterested, saying it was likely just a batch of faulty / sub-standard paint!

    Chameleons indeed.
There are times when it looks like an everyday Speedy. And there are times when it looks anything but.
