Every year I get this winter blues. I really hate the darkness and the cold. Yes, I know - I am a Swede and I should be used to it. But I am not.

And every year at this time I have to start looking at pictures of summer to get thru. At least it has turned over now - the days are slowly getting longer. There is light in the end of the tunnel.

 

For a root vegetable, your typing skills are impressive...

I know the feeling. There is litteraly nothing winter has to offer.

 

I'm very serious when I say that it is a diagnosed condition called Seasonal Affected Disorder. It can go from the mild, which most of us have experienced at some point , to the very severe, i.e. deep depression, etc. Most believe it is caused by a lack of vitamins from a lack of exposure to the sun. A friend of mine had it to the point that he needed to spend time in front of a light box throughout the winter so he could make it through.

 

Even though I don't live in Norway anymore I still read the papers every day and the weather is a much covered issue
I really don't miss the snpw and rain but when sitting here in Kuwait and it's 40 degrees day in day out, I sometimes hark after a north westerly breeze to cool me down.

 

I have a daylight lamp on my desk...

 

Here in Joizey, seeing a light at the end of the tunnel means an oncoming Mac truck is gonna demolish you.

 

Do you have the wrong car?

I have come to the conclusion that it's the darkness, more than the cold or snow, that bothers me the most during winter here. On the flip side being bright out until 10PM in the summer is awesome!
