Researching all things Jacques Mayol in my quest to get a sorted 120m Plongeur De Luxe together, I stumbled across the apparently unloved early 2000's APNEA models.

Does anyone here have one/wear one?

I searched the forum and found a few mentions, but from what I found, no one had pulled the trigger.

I have a good friend who suffers from the condition. I will not invite him to spend the night again.

I do not have one but I really would like to. Prefer the black dial. Good looking watch and thankfully Omega left out the helium valve - which is of course totally redundant on a watch like this (and almost always is).

Stole a picture from the net to make this post more pleasing to the eye...

The black is the one I'd go for... seem to be a bit thin on the ground though... I guess this was a bit too specialist for the mainstream?

I saw one of these in the flesh on a guy at a Red Bar gathering and was impressed. Their lack of popularity makes it possible to buy them for what I consider very reasonable prices. Some day I'll probably get one. Kind of like getting a Regatta timer. Neat stuff that's outside the mainstream. I'm with you on these.

I have one of those - and they are flying under the radar also, prices being OK. 100m WR.

Just spoken to my local boutique... there are still some of these in the network at £2660. Makes the mint used ones that pop up at £1800 look incredible value...

OK, I'll bite. What does apnea stand for with regard to this watch?? (not sleep issues)

In short - apnea - shortness of breath. In this case holding your breath - as in free diving.

Edit - I was a little too slow...

I was gonna say, I'm my own Seamaster Apnea except I'm not much of a Seamaster!
