Jim Clarke drove a Lotus (not this one), he also won a few races wearing an Enicar (not this one [emoji6])!

Just these 2 in my collection. A cool brand which has been largely under appreciated and under valued until now.

I've always found Enicars cool. But a friend of mine discouraged me from getting into it saying that they easily break. Is this true?

They're just like any other vintage and must be treated with care. Did you friend refer to any particular model and its quite a statement to make for the entire brand.

He did make a sweeping generalization. Good to know it is just as good as other dependable vintage watch brands. Adding it to my list then! Haha.

I don't own any Enicars, but have increasingly been appreciating them from afar. Over the weekend, I found one advertised online for sale in my city (see seller's pic below) and the seller was asking a low price. The pic is poor quality, but i've seen elsewhere on this forum how poor pics can sometimes lead to pleasant surprises. I arranged to meet with the seller and ended up passing: although it had an original caseback (with the lovely leaping dolphin) and original crown, the dial was a very poorly done redial - looked like the markers were applied via potato stamp or sponge and the redialer didn't even bother to add Saturn's ring. Needless to say, I took a pass.

And this 18k rose gold chronometer with nicely finished AS 1361N inside. Who knew Enicar had it in them?

Hi guys, may I know what you think of these Enicar Sherpa Guide GMT being sold for approx. USD 425 and USD 554 respectively? I noticed that the GMTs are cheaper than other Sherpa Guides. Why is that? Is it the movement? Thanks!

Enicar certainly made some beautiful watches... thanks, @MMMD...

and not just limited the the high-prices chronos we see most frequently.

I'd love to see more of their smart, simple designs if anyone has one to share...
