I bought 5 watches this year, so it's been a good one, the date just was an impulse buy, (sorry omega) but when the time comes that a grand luxe constellation comes up for sale it will be staying with me. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Gave this question some thought, and settled on two elegant watches from the 1950s, one of which has become a much loved daily wearer. [/ATTACH] P1000832.jpg P1000927.jpg

For me, this has been the year of servicing. Just about every watch I have has received a service. I only acquired one, the WatchCo Seamaster 300, which is now my daily wear watch.

We're talking "year to date," right? 'Cause I still have 28 days in my year, and this disease being what it is... ;)
Really, I think I'm done for the year. I bought a total of 16 watches, two of which are still coming, and 8 of which have already been flipped. Of the ones that stayed (for now), my favorites are the Zenith Stratos Rainbow I got brand new last week (still very much in the honeymoon phase)!
And a long-time favorite, a circa 1982 IWC Porsche Design Titan chronograph reference 3700
    [IMG]
I keep thinking I'll sell the IWC to pay off a credit card (zero interest expiring soon), but I really like it. Can't decide if I'm gonna move it, or send it back east for a spa. The fact I appear to be the only one in the world who likes these children of the 1980's suggests I'll keep it ;)

Until I stopped to do the accounting, I had no idea I bought 16! Early in the year I was collecting vintage then lost interest. And my appreciation of Hamilton style and value continues. I honestly believe I am done for the year (famous last words)? So here goes:
    Incoming:

    Hamilton Linwood Chronograph
    JeanRichard Aeroscope Chronograph "208 Seconds"
    Still Here:

    IWC Porsche Design Titan 3700
    Hamilton Pan Europ Chronograph
    Hamilton Spirit of Liberty
    Hamilton Khaki Mechanical
Zenith El Primero Stratos Rainbow Chronograph
Longines Grand Prize vintage (in the shop)
    Come And Gone

    Hamilton Khaki Field Chronograph
    Hamilton Mount Vernon Chronograph
    Hamilton Intra Matic 38
    (2) vintage Hamilton automatics
    (3) vintage Longines Grand Prize automatics

Not by design, really, but as I won it on ABlogToWatch recently and due to house renovating, it has been my only new watch for 2015!

@kyle L, I don't think I've ever seen a calendar watch like the Harvel, with crosses for Sunday. Love it!
Considering the wealth of incoming for you this year, I know now why your listings in the Sales Forum were plentiful (but usually quick to change from "For Sale" to "OHPF/Sold!").
...and the facets on that Rolex Army...don't cut yourself! :)

    Ref 2782.

It's been one of my recent favorites and it is a lot of watch for the money. Unfortunately I have also been turning back to Rolexes lately and they are a lot more expensive than 50s Omegas...:(

image.jpeg Not currently on my wrist, but worn for three months, until about 7 days ago. I've owned the movement, dial, etc (in pieces) for 40 years, but had no case for it. Stumbled onto it recently in my stash, and decided to do something with it. O F member Tritium from Spain helped me out with a NOS case. Did the work, and voila! My new (old) favourite calibre 355, date at 6:00 Omega.

The watch that started my interest up again. Seamaster 600 (chanced buying it from Ebay)

And, my favourite of the year. It's not an Omega (sorry!), and only a Chronographe Suisse but I just love it. Thanks to @dantaspaulo for passing it on to me.

My watch buying has slowed (well, that's a relative term) compared to past years. My favorites include:

1927ish solid white 14K Hamilton Barrel
    [IMG]

    Metro Datum Gangreserve
    [IMG]

1655 Explorer II (similar to Kyle's, just a couple of years older)

1938 "Imperial" ref. 3139 in "Army" case

Beautiful watches, how's the nomos treating you? Had a good look at some at salon qp and very impressed with the in house movements and the way they are made
