Because to me it has lots going on. There is clearly an apetite for Speedy Disection, which I admit I enjoy so I am throwing this one to the Spolves. (Speedy - Wolves) On ebay is this Straight Writing 145.022: EDIT (Corrected Link) : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Speed...0&rk=2&rkt=4&sd=182240834369&autorefresh=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network So here are my questions: What is going on with the dial, the black body colour? Are the hands painted? Is the bezel bleached? Does the paper relate to the watch? UK seller, threatening to pull the auction at any minute with a cash offer, but he has 100% feedback. What do you think?
Given the condition of everything else and the lack of an interior shot, the caseback seems suspiciously pristine to me. I'd almost expect to find a 145.0022 replacement caseback
well it's gone now. But the dial and bezel is very weird. Hands and dial have almost perfect matching patina, as if it were stained in coffee. Bezel also strangely faded. Dial stained in coffee, then bezel dipped in bleach? Edit: my MWO is in storage, but bezel looks like service replacement?
I think the back is original, because it has the short notches. The replacement backs have long notches: (Service replacement on right)
Try this EDIT: its been pulled Second edit, I think I solved it. (Ebay changed some lot number digits in the search - weird) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Speed...0&rk=2&rkt=4&sd=182240834369&autorefresh=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

Forget it all...its pulled EDIT Something wierd in Ebay and my computer, changing a digit in the lot number. Links below work.
This -68 transitional has a better dial, nice long indices... Though Lume isn't perfect, dial on here seems ok. Oh,,,caseback seems heavily polished
Well its still up there, try this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Omega-Speedmaster-Vintage-1969-The-First-Watch-Worn-On-The-Moon-Box-Paper/252533287530?_trksid=p2046732.c100040.m2060&_trkparms=aid=111001&algo=REC.SEED&ao=1&asc=20140107095009&meid=bed5841b7b4c42d8a90846ecffeaf641&pid=100040&rk=2&rkt=4&sd=182240834369&autorefresh=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Thats working - I must say this lot is very hard to find...
Suspect dial/bezel. Added to there being no photo of caseback interior, a question is whether that's a vintage caseback or a modern type. Seller easily could've shown it. I'm not being incentivized by what's seen to ask for it
There is definitely something going on with those hands and dial, and whatever it is it's not a part of any natural Speedy ageing process I've ever seen. Box & papers on a watch that looks as tired as that unusual, does make you wonder. It looks like the seller has high hopes for what it might achieve, listed previously here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/252524616155Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Also £75 delivery!? Crackers
I was going to add this one just sold on OF is much better: https://omegaforums.net/threads/fs-omega-speedmaster-straight-writing-145-022.44748/
