The "S" in Seamaster looks wrong here. Am I on the right track?

It looks OK to me. The tight coathanger S without the dropped R.

That dial is very pristine though :cautious:

VEEEERY PRISTINE. VEEEERY DARK PRINT. No fading whatsoever. No hint of patina.

No that Seamaster font wrong for a Seamaster De Ville. The SMDV was made from 1963 to 1967 and should have the rounded S.

If that is a redial, the redialers have become really, really skilled!

I am sorry but the Omega Seamaster De Ville was first released in 1960, with that exact same S, it didn't have De Ville written on the Dial, untill 1963.
Then you can find both type of S. Look at the ad on page 402 of OJTT bottom right or middle picture of page 403.

Sorry, I'm not sure I'm seeing the difference between the first one (the one I printed) and the last one (the black Draper watch)? Is it that the hook of the S in Seamaster doesn't go up as far as the "correct" one?

Can't help you there, both S's are completely different as is the rest of the script.
