A colleague of mine brought this one up. I am far by an expert but when I saw white paint on black dial accompanied by the polished back case my first thoughts were repaint. There is no trace of paint on the index walls T for tritium is missing as I think those dots are of tritium. Crown is not correct but that I know. What about seconds hand? And what about entire dial? Is it re-painted? I was not able to open the watch but I examined it with a loupe. Crystal has a Omega logo. Let me hear your thoughts
The script looks right and is aligned correctly, the minute markers are all consistent, there are no traces of clumsy painting on the star, logo or markers, and the dial finish doesn't have that obvious "wrong" look that's so difficult to describe but which we know when we see it. I think it is original. ETA: Just noticed the dropped O in Omega, don't know what's going on there.
This watch looks great, simply stunning. I also noticed that 'O' on the OMEGA logo. It seems to be slightly wonky or dropping off? Not sure what's up with that, but the rest of the watch looks fabulous.
Seconds hand is wrong (or just broken at the tip, hard to see). The size of the lume plots are bigger than usual. The dial looks like a redial to me, but better close-ups would help
I would be suspicious of this one. The dial just looks too shiny (glossy) clean compared to the rest of the watch. One you need to see with a loupe for sure.
Sorry for the late/none response. I was busy with other stuff. I am also keen to vote for a redial. As I said in the first post I was not able to open the watch to see the movement and under the loupe it did not feel kosher. I just could not put a finger on exact thing. Thank you all
