    Hi everyone,

I was curious to know if there is any difference between a Lemania 5100 and an Omega 1045. Mr. Maddox's (older/dated) write up of the 1045 says "Omega fine tuned the Lemania movement it procured from Lemania and stamps it's name and logo on the rotor (see below). ", so i'm curious to know what Omega did in the form of "tuning"?

could you for instance take a 5100 out of a SINN or something and put it into an Omega?

    thanks!

Lemamia would make them to different specs.
Omega would normally have their batches made in guilt finishing on plates and bridges.
Otherwise they are identical. Any 1045/5100 could be swapped around without any alterations needed.
There is no evidence I have seen that suggests that Omega themselves altered or tuned these movements. Lemania was the chrono experts within SSHI back in those days.
