OMEGA SEAMASTER COSMIC AUTOMATIC 166045 565 DATE TWOTONE SILVER DIAL MEN'S WATCH
Asking $800

Interesting one, this. Seller remarks that all is original save for the strap. All his other watches save this one appear to be restored, and are stated as such. For clarification, I asked what was original, and what was refurbished or new, and what was new. He replied: "Only the leather band has been newly connected. All of them are original parts." I'd be grateful to get your expert opinion though.
Here's his notes:

Brand : Omega seamaster cosmic

Movement : Automatic winding / cal565 / Has been oiled and cleaned.

Case : S.Steel / clean condition

Band : Aftermarket new leather band / clean condition

Buckle: Aftermarket s.steel buckle / clean condition

Dial : Two tone silver dial / clean condition

Glass : Acrylic / clean condition

Case size : 34mm(Excluding crown)

Lug size : 19mm

Watch full-length : 24.5cm / 9.6inch

Work : keeping good time

Date Conversion / Crown Pull

Only watch / No box & paper / Not waterproof warranty

Authentic watch

It's hard to make out from the photo, but I think the serial no. dates it to 1969. The dial appears very (too?) clean. Unclear whether it's the original crystal either. There appears to be no lume on the dial, batons or hands, and consequently no 'T' accompanying 'Swiss Made'. I've seen similar Seamaster Cosmics with the same and similar design with lume - were they ever made without it? Thoughts very much appreciated.

It all looks OK to me.
These watches and others with Unicoc / Monococ cases that can only be accesses from the front are often in better original condition than their snap/screw back cousins due to the difficulty of amatuers accessing the insides.

They also seemed to be marginally more water resistant due to only two points of access (crown/crystal) as opposed to the others (crown/crystal/caseback).

Good points. I've just noticed the Omega signature on the crystal, too.

Ah, ta for the heads up on that. Lovely looker - spankingly clean. Would be a fun treasure hunt sourcing a bracelet for it too.
