Hi everyone,

Advice would be appreciated on this watch. Does everything look fine? What should the price range be?

Sadly, damage to the dial - between 6-7 and possibly 10 - 12. No movement photos.

So, what do you think? And what’s the asking price?

Looks decent to me all original and 'n like the mesh bracelet that comes with it- very 60s. Slight damage to the dial between 6-7 but that's normal though right? Movement looks in good shape too.

The asking price is around 700 Euros from a professional dealer, some people say that's too much, but I always see them in that range...

Well, and I’m repeating myself because you’ve got two threads running about the same watch but it’s a manual wind movement, a damaged dial and has a £30 replacement (non-Omega) band so, no one here would go even 350 Euros on this but, you asked and you’ll have to decide.

It's an original Omega mesh bracelet, just obviously not original to the watch.

Unserviced, I’d say the standard value for these is around £300.
I sold a serviced one a year or so ago for £320.

€700 is high. Personally, I’d bide my time and try to buy a more desirable ref for 500-700. Patience is key.

Please point me in the direction of better examples for 500-700 and I would buy this instant. Jeez, I just want a decent watch I can wear every day without getting scammed or ripped off. Why is this so hard?

It is not a crime to open 2 threads on a watch forum mate, how am I supposed to know the rules? I don't spend all my time on watch forums even though I am interested.

You can generally pick two from the following;
1. Good watch
2. Good price
3. Available now.

That’s why I said patience is key. If you want a good watch now, you’ll often pay a premium. If you’re prepared to wait a few weeks you can get a good watch at a good price.

I have been waiting years to finally pull the trigger and see nothing good.

So if you want it now and a quick purchase is more important than waiting a few weeks to save 200, then fair enough, buy it.

The watch is fine, it’s just over priced.

It's not a crime to be snarky either, just rude.

I am sorry but then you haven’t really looked. Perhaps you have looked like I do when my wife asks me to find something. I look for a couple of minutes in visible areas and then sort of drift off to something else. Then she searches for 30 seconds and find it.

For years…. The last couple of years there have been probably a hundred or more good, “starter” watches in the sales section of this forum.
