    Hi everyone,
I bought this De Ville from the sixties cal 550. I would ask to the expert an advice on the dial... I can't find any reference online.

    Thank you!

I think is looks correct to me. It has the close hanger S on Seamaster usually if its a redial the S would like this S. Looks like it in great condition congrats!!

Thank you sryukon! Now I am even more happy with the purchase! It was my first purchase and I spent hours in reading about redials and so on...glad to know that was time well spent!

    Absolutely not true...

This one is certainly not redial.

In fact most of the SMDV have this S.

I'd like to see a dial shot without the hands obstructing the printing, the picture above has the second hand is in front of the S and it could be clearer.

All looks good, what I wanted to see besides the S was the serifs on the letters of "De Ville." And from this new picture they are clearly there. Do you know the case reference on this?
