Hi all,
Found this beauty for a good price. Can anyone help me authenticate this from the pics and provide any advice as to what to look out for on this reduced model? I’m not too familiar…
Thanks in advance!

Well it's legit which is a good start. Don't pay Limited Edition money for it though if it is a loose watch with no box or papers as much of the additional cost and value of an LE like this resides in having the full set. If it needs a service (and somehow they always do) you need to factor that it as with the Speedy Reduced you have have, well, a reduced number of options vs other designs. Fewer cheap options anyway.

As you have probably spotted, the strap isn't original so maybe factor that in. Trying to source a bracelet later would be eye wateringly expensive, an original strap less so but still not cheap so make sure you have considered this. These have 18mm lug width and it seems someone has cut down a 20mm rubber strap to make it fit. Not a disaster but not ideal.

Sorry if I sound negative but sometimes the seemingly cheapest option is often not when all is told. Perhaps if you told its what the 'good price' was we could comment further. I mean $1K might be considered a good price, $2K rather less so. For the buyer at least.

Thanks for confirming. It’s £1700. I have a watchmaker friend who can service it at ‘trade’ price. I’m trying to source a bracelet and they seem to be in the region of £500+ but keeping an eye out.

Well it's not a gimme price at that level. Once you have the bracelet and service sorted you are into it for maybe £2,500-£2,700 plus so not pocket change. If you love it, why not, but if you are doing it because you think it is cheap, maybe keep looking.

Read up on the servicing complications with these. If your watchmaker pal intends to service the DD chrono module too then you are fine, but if not its not really a full job and can lead to problems down the line since even the normal timekeeping functions operate via the module. Since you are in the UK, note Mitka and Watchguy will do a full job on these for circa £400 so use that as a ballpark figure to know if the 'trade' price is fair. That said neither have a parts account so there could be complications that way. Omega will charge more like £900 these days. Which is faintly horrific.
