Legit check for Constellation Brick Bracelet No.12 1040 518

Can anyone verify if this is real and if so is it period correct for a 168.027 Constellation.

The stamping of 1040 raising alarm bells. Did try Google and did see a couple examples but none as miss stamped/deep like this one.

I would be inclined to think it's legit. I'm not an expert, my opinion is based on my 1040, which I have no reason to believe is not original. Photos below show it's similar to the one you are questioning, that is 'over stamped'. I think the clasps are generic and then stamped with the bracelet type once attached, pic of a BOR clasp attached to explain my reasoning, last pic in sequence.
Bracelet came on a 168.017 so I would say it's period correct for a 168.027
