Well a classic 1969 is probably the most-wanted 1039 bracelet version to have & appreciate...

Good article but it says that the 1039 was the last flat link bracelet until the recent release of the 60th anniversary. What about the 1175?

Its (IMHO) a mix between a flatlink and a 1171 (but I do have one, and I like it)

    Great article!
I'm curious if the new Speedmaster Apollo XI 50th Anniversary bracelet also fits the classic Moonwatch.
Hope someone will try it soon and report it.

I think that is going to be difficult, as Omega stated they are not going to supply it as sparepart/separate bracelet.

My 60th anniversary on a 1035 works well!

Nicely done. I have always thought, though, that the hair-pulling allegations have been over-stated. My 1171 is an equal if not superior depilatory.

Does anyone know someone who sells replacement for these expanding springs or perhaps refurbishes these vintage bracelets?

I miss wearing my 2998 on its original bracelet… :cautious:

Not to hijack, but have you looked into: Michael Young? http://www.classicwatchrepair.com/english/band-restoration

+1 for the 1175. I have one as well. It is thicker, and sturdier. Another plus is that it has the pinholes for the link extensions. It is much easier to add/remove links than 1035/1039.

It is cheaper too on the used market! :)
