WhatYourWatchSay
·Dumb question, but I have a few watches with missing crystals and I've had them sitting in those small plastic zip lock baggies. Could the plastic cause any issues with the dials or are the watches relatively safe inside?

I'm not sure why I thought about this today as I've had them in the bags for a couple of months. My thinking was I'd keep any additional dust and dirt off the dials. Then I got worried that the plastic might damage the dials.
And without crystals I would say even more a no no…
I've removed them from the baggies and there doesn't seem to be any issues that I can see, fortunately. I'm going to leave them in a separate spot in my watch drawer and see about some small glass covers. I wish I had asked this eight weeks ago.
If you go to a dollar type store or Harbor Freight etc, you can usually find small parts storage boxes (like for screws etc) for less that the price of a moldy sandwich.
Would that plastic be safe for watch storage? I had a couple of those types of boxes that I would store watch parts when working on movements before switching to the dome and tray.
