Is there something I should know about swapping the metal for leather on a Speedmaster?

Exactly! But is there a special size just for these, or can I go into watchshop to buy one?

What model do you have? If a speedy pro, a 20mm wide strap will do.

Should be 18mm then...anything should work in that size but measure the lug width if you'd like to be sure.
