I do a generation earlier (1840s/1850s.) Those 1890s/1910s corsets look really uncomfortable. The mid century corsets are bad enough. The S curve ones lead to no one wearing such things after the 1920s. One would pretty much have to wear one from a really early age.
A lot of dolls came with corsets too. So it was pretty much a given. Thank god they came up with elastic. Otherwise we would still be using braided rags. Or simply let them drop to the knees.
Doll socks often have clocks. I suspect that much of this fashion look was fantasy anyway. One rarely really sees the S curve look in photographs. Only in fashion magazines. And then by people who are between 15 and 23 years old.
I did get some socks under the tree yesterday. The clocks are shaped as presents.
