Leads for finding out reference?

    Hola Longines crowd,

I guess it's a doubled edged sword once people know you're 'into watches ' (as it is with computers).

A friend asked about having his watch serviced vs value if sold. I don't know much about Longines, let alone modern ones...

So, I'm trying to track down the reference to do a little research. I'm not asking for valuation, I can find that I'm sure, but I don't know enough about these to turn one up on an interwebs search.

I think it's a modern 'heritage' reissue. I think it's about 10 years old. It's obviously a chronograph. Are those breguet numerals? Tonneau case?

Any tips to help get me oriented sure would be appreciated.

It looks like a Longines Spirit Chronograph.
    L2.705.4.23.2 I think.

    Nice looking watch.

    Hey guys,

Bumping this thread. I'm trying to help answer some questions the owner has.

They've been offered $400 for this watch. It's not working. I'm guessing a service would be around $300 USD. I see these on chrono24 for $1100-$1500.

The main question is, should she sell it as is and take the $400 or fix it up and try listing it?

    Any opinions welcome.

    Thanks!
