When I mentioned that the key vintage omegas at the latest Watches of Knightsbridge Auction were not the speedmasters I was referring to these two:

This RAF '53 TA from Rhodesia which I think went cheap (I was the underbidder preoccupied with something else and still a bit wary of overseas purchases - if the auction was in the US I would have snagged both):

And this rare (and apologies to @Bill Sohne but I do believe this is one of those instances where the adjective is used properly) 30mm manual wind chronometre. I think there are very few of this 35mm ref. 14352 around. The watch parts including the dial IMO are all original and the case is 18k rose gold and looks unpolished. I have replaced the strap with a vintage omega strap fished out of the parts box from that same era. Perhaps @mac_omega will come by and make further comments.

Here is a quick and dirty photo of the watch shortly after FedEx delivered it:

Nice one! Likely one of the first ones with "Officially Certified" on the dial.

That’s a great looking dial on your pickup. Always learning about new models to hunt for.

Looking forward to hunting for some of the less common manual wind chronometre references similar to this one.

Gosh, that must've been ages ago, Miki! How time flies . . . especially when you're having fun.

    Warm regards,

    Art
