Hi Ben, I have read your story with interest.
I have a similar Calender in WG, with no.1230284, and I have had it for approx. 30 years along with 2 others with the same movement. When I bought it, at an auction of an estate, I left to my usual repairman, who send it to Universal, a brand that was widely distributed in Denmark.
They serviced the watch, and faxed back that they would like to buy it !
It was apprearantly not in their collection, but I declined because I like the model.
In the following correspondence, they made it clear that very, very few was made, 12-20 pieces, making it extremely rare.

Great looking watches but is it possible that production was limited to 12-20 pieces?!?

This is long ago, and at that time the correspondance was done by my repairman.
I just know what he told me, at the time.
This is a knowledge not backed up by facts, sorry !
From what I can see, this Forum has been the only one with a descripion of the WG version.
I have never seen it on eBay !

Im a serious collector for UG triple date moon phase, I have four in my collection, the 18k white gold ones are extremely rare,
I have never seen an 18k white gold one in person, and on the internet there are VERY few ! Three examples from my collection.

Love the dial and especially the hands on the top one.

The sad part of the first one is that it is probably a redial, maybe one of the BEST redials I've seen !
