That has got the be the cutest little baby UG I have ever seen !
Sadly I thought the serial really really low (I mistook the 8's for 3's, and just discovered my mistake when I took these photos).
Still, for almost nothing $$, I love it.

    seems to be running strong!
anyone know if it is supposed to have a second hand?
Any opinions on if I should put in a new fixed bar where it's missing, or cut the other one out and just drill the lugs?

I live in fear of doing the exact same thing. Been plenty of times my cursor has hovered over the BIN button of a perfectly preserved watch only to realize at the last second: Oh @#$% that's a ladies watch! Abort! Abort!

I'd put a new fixed bar in. A good watchmaker should be able to do this for you.

yah, me too. This one had mm so I knew what I was getting into when I bought it. My only mistake was misreading the serial.

Maybe I will just keep it for myself. It takes a strong man to rock a baby UG.

That is lovely and I'd be very surprised if it ever had a second hand and I'm sure you could confirm this just by looking at the hand stack under a loupe. So how big actually is it and what's the lug size?

There are a few 8-10mm buckles available on Ebay so we expect you to go the whole hog - you might even find a NOS UG strap for a reasonable price but make sure you feed the leather first (don't ask me how I know this).

the case is 20mm w/o the crown and the lug size is 11mm.

I don't think getting an 11mm open end strap is going to be the easiest thing in the world based on some initial research, will have to put more
time in. (I'm seeing lots of 10 and 12mm)

I will have to keep an eye out for small SS buckles, there's only one on ebay at 6mm but the U looks very rounded, and I'm not sure I would want that much of a taper anyways.

Plus that buckle would cost more than the watch !
Anyhow, will report back once I get the fixed bar done, with strap and buckle.
So far it's keeping great time.
    :)

I'd forgotten about the fixed bars - maybe not so many strap options then. Bit of a steal, nevertheless.
