Dial has a very light patina which is ok by me..

Oooo, an early one! Only the first year or two of these date-at-6 models had square date windows. They came out in 1952 and sometime in 1953 Omega switched to the trapezoid-ish shape. The serial number is correct on yours for the early ones.

Thanks Dennis, It was a hit or miss opportunity to buy this, was driving home and noticed it at a fairly decent price, then noticed it was in the Omega recommended thread!! :whistling: I have only owned one date @ 6 before and I love the symmetry! Need to get this off for a service now...

Not easy to get something this complete, nowadays.

Years go, only the watch is important while the rest was discarded, unfortunately.

Surely you will enjoy your new find.

    Thank-you.

Very nice piece and an added bonus with box and papers. BOR bracelet fits, although a much later addition to the watch methinks. First BORs came out with the Seamaster 'Special' in 58/59 I believe. Nice clean movement that will come back even shinier after service :)

    Cheers
