Don't let Uncle Buck see that. It's from 1951 according to the serial number.

    Great watch.

    Those two-tone dials are something.
    Was this on the bay?

    Hi Uncle Buck,
no it wasn`t on the bay. I`ll tell you the story.
Yesterday I walked around Essen downtown and then I saw the watch in the window of a tiny antique watch store.
I got in and watched the Omega closely through a watchmaker`s eyepiece. Nice, I thought, crisp case, original two-tone dial.
I said: "Please would you open the case to see inner caseback and movement". He refused and said:" Oh no, it`s impossible to open the watch for every potential buyer". Normally I don`t buy a vintage watch without being opened. But yesterday I really purchased it.
I got out and straight to an Omega watch store at the other side of the street.
There I met a very friendly watchmaker.
He finally opened the watch and.......... movement and inner caseback were in nearly untouched condition.
    Glück muß der Mensch haben!

    Hi Mac,
the size is 35 mm without crown, but the dial looks greater because of the small bezel!
On my small wrist it IMG_1009[2].JPG fits perfect.

The indices and numerals look silver-coloured not gold - so you should look for a SS case or a white gold example but these latter are made of unobtunium...
